This incident caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
